Abstract
Nowadays, keeping secure while travelling is of utmost importance and in order to prevent unnecessary issues, we must regularly monitor bus performance. There are a number approaches available to monitor buses, but the issue is that it is unable to do it continuously. The continuous monitoring of the bus represents a big problem for the Bus Management system. The bus management system has a number of issues, including the inability to determine whether the driver is intoxicated or whether the bus continues to travel at a normal speed etc. The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has offered a promising opportunity to address the issues brought on by rising transportation issues. This paper makes use of the components such a microcontroller, a piezoelectric sensor, a speed sensor, an alcohol sensor, a fuel level measurement device, a level switch, GPS, a key, an LCD display, an alarm, a voice board, and an Internet of Things (IoT). If any accident occurs piezoelectric sensor detects mechanical vibration and the location of bus is shared to the bus management system via GPS. A piezoelectric sensor is a machine that is used to detect the mechanical vibration and it electrical signal via the piezoelectric effect. The vehicle's speed is measured using a speed sensor. Alcohol sensors are used to determine whether the driver is consuming alcohol. The fuel level measurement is used to determine the fuel level. The foot step switch is employed to the step for those people who stand on the foot board for an extended period of time and comments are indicated by voice board. The circuit is turned on and off using the key, and the alarm sounds when the bus is travelling too fast. Using an LCD display, the bus parameters are tracked. GPS is used to track the bus. All components are integrated with the microcontroller. Finally, with the use of IoT, Bus management can continuously monitor the performance of the bus in this paper.
