Abstract

Anesthesia remains the backbone of pain control in most surveys. In recent times, anesthesiologists are ought to use the manual procedure for the administration of anesthesia into patients. Anesthesia is entitled to work on the calculation of several parameters to prescribe the required dosage level for patients. Medication error remains as a major cause in the medical profession; where critical care and anesthesia are of no exceptions to it. During surgery, the higher or lower level dosage of anesthesia to the patient will cause adverse effects. To overcome such tedious problem, the ultimate goal of the project is to design an automatic dosage prescriptor. An automatic dosage prescriptor is proposed, the dosage level is determined by using patient weight and height. Patient weight is taken as an input from a weight sensor (or) load cell. HX711 ADC is an interface between microcontroller and load cell, where it converts the analog to a digital signal. Obtaining the weight of a patient as an input, the dosage level will be viewed in the monitor.
