Abstract

The present work concerns the development of a wireless power transfer system for low voltage household applications. The system is intended as a multipurpose power link for low power appliances such as mobile phones charging and lighting. In order to maximize the efficiency of the system, several compensation topologies have been investigated, simulated and compared. The performance of each topology in terms of transmission efficiency and component current/voltage stresses was studied. A test bench setup was then developed, implemented and tested in order to validate the results obtained from the analytical equations.
