Abstract

We demonstrate a selectivity descriptor to evaluate the competition between the CH 3 CHO* protonation and the coupling of CH 3 CHO* and CO*, which are the selectivity-determining steps for the ethanol pathway versus the n -propanol pathway, respectively.
