Securing of Cloud Infrastructure using Enterprise Honeypot
Kiran Deep Singh
Abstract
An enterprise honeypot is developed to protect virtual machines (VMs) in Cloud Infrastructure (ICI). A Honeyed honeypot with Snort is integrated to identify hidden security flaws and to prevent internal intrusions or attackers from exploiting these vulnerabilities. This company's honeypot prevents MCs and does a profound study of the activity of the invader in the private cloud. The experimental findings demonstrate that enterprise honeypot has been implemented successfully in ICI and illustrate its strength in security threats. The information collected by snort is helpful for the behavior of the invader. There have been two main findings. First, ICI must secure VMs from internal intruders. Second, the infrastructure of the Cloud needs to be safer. The results show that more effective security warnings may be created to improve security.
