Abstract
Abstract State of research in the study of magnetocaloric materials based on rare-earth metals that are promising for application in the technology of low-temperature magnetic cooling is reviewed. Physical principles and characteristics of the magnetocaloric effect in materials based on rare-earth metals with low-temperature magnetic phase transitions are presented.
