Abstract

Over the years, various types of catalysts have been used for water treatment to eliminate toxic organic substances from wastewater. Transition metal group oxide catalysts have been widely studied and applied due to their ease of preparation, excellent catalytic properties and their abundant content in nature. This paper briefly introduces the relationship between structure and performance of several metal oxide catalysts such as CeO 2 , MnO 2 , TiO 2 and introduces three different methods of catalyst modification, discusses in detail the structure and mechanism of action of several loaded and doped composite catalysts, and also introduces the application of catalytic ozonation oxidation, catalytic wet peroxide oxidation, photochemical oxidation, electrochemical oxidation, Practical applications of catalysts are also summarized.
