Abstract
Country attaches great importance to the planning and construction of emergency communication network, especially with more attention paid to the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) emergency communication technology research. Relative to the 4G network characteristics of the “try best”, 5G with large bandwidth, low latency and high reliability of network capacity, performance of a network configuration provides a flexible configuration space, will gradually become the preferred technology meet the demand of emergency communication different scenarios. This paper proposes an emergency communication coverage solution via the fixed-wing UAV based on 5G. First, the solution uses an UAV to carry a 5G base station (BS) and combines ground macro base station to assist in the design of an integrated network. Then, the paper conducts simulation experiments on the forward link budget and backhaul link budget of the UAV with 5G base station. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed solution can meet the demand of remote areas and emergency communication coverage with the wide coverage.
