Abstract

-trig cyclization. Density functional theory calculations indicated that the tertiary radical intermediate was critical for the success of cyclization. In addition, the resulting saturated azetidine scaffolds possessed vicinal tertiary-quaternary and even quaternary-quaternary centers.
