Role of Chatbots in School Education

Abstract

This chapter explores outlines the integrated approach to employ the chatbots in school education to make the teaching-learning process more efficient and effective. It sheds light on the challenges and factors that have led to a change in public's perceptions towards school education and how it is changing their mindset about using educational chatbots. Traditionally, education has always placed emphasis on closeness of learners and instructors. But nowadays, all stakeholders like schools, students, teachers and industry leaders support, appreciate and understand the benefits of having technologies. Present chapter highlights how the tech-savvy learners, teachers, and parents enjoy the interacting privilege using educational Chatbots, and in turn, organizations seek out interested users, learners and teachers. Specific integration of the AI in school education has been presented giving the curricular, extracurricular and administrative aspects. Detailed features of the commercially available AI chatbots have been presented to map to the needs of school education.
