Abstract

Organic piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs) have been attracting much attention for being lightweight and having high flexibility. Here, we present an organic PENG based on poly(vinylidene fluoride–trifluorethylene) (P(VDF–TrFE)) doped with GeSe nanosheets (NSs). Improved performances including a piezoelectric coefficient increased from 15.94 to 27.92 pC N−1, an open-circuit voltage increased by 3 times, and a high output power density of 9.76 μW cm–2 are observed when 4 wt % GeSe NSs are added, which results from the improved β-phase content of P(VDF–TrFE) and the higher piezoelectric coefficient of GeSe NSs. These improved PENGs possess high stabilities, revealing great application potentials in energy collection and sensing.
