Abstract
A growing volume of literature has explored the social impacts of various industries across the globe often triggered by reports of social-related misconduct in various parts of the world. Singh and Gupta ( 2018 ) emphasized the need for social life cycle assessment (S-LCA) studies tailored to specific social conditions in countries like India, focusing on the steel industry. In the Italian textile sector, Lenzo et al. ( 2017 ) highlighted challenges such as poor working conditions and child labor, stressing the importance of selecting appropriate S-LCA tools. Irie et al. ( 2019 ) examined how the widespread adoption of renewable energy technologies, such as agrivoltaic systems in rural Japan, affects local communities. Similarly, Aung et al. ( 2021 ) evaluated social and human rights impacts linked to hydropower development in Myanmar. To identify recurring social issues in the mining sector, Mancini and Sala ( 2018 ) analyzed 50 different studies.
