Climate change effect on durability of bridges and other infrastructure

Abstract
Climate change has significant implications for structures which will continue to increase in the future, particularly bridges and other strategic infrastructure with longer service life exposed to aggressive environments. In this paper, a projection of climate change for Croatia for periods up to 2040 and up to 2070 is presented with potential impacts on bridges and other structures. By reviewing scientific research results, the impact of climate change on the durability and seismic capacity of concrete structures as well as effects on loads on structures is presented.
