Abstract

WTe 2 /InSe is a direct Z-scheme vdW heterostructure for water splitting. The Te-vacancy can effectively lower the energy of the HER, and the overall water splitting can proceed spontaneously on the surface of the WTe 2 /InSe heterostructure when pH &gt; 7.
