AI_Bleeding, Tail-Pruning, and the Misuse of Semantic Exhaustion: Dossier Executive Summary (EA-AIBLEEDING-DOSSIER-01 v1.0)

Abstract
AI_Bleeding (Caria, 2026) fails on evidence and fails again on orientation: it does not establish the attack it names, and the defense it recommends would, if generalized, prune the linguistic tail that model ecology needs to preserve. Part I (EA-REFEREE-AIBLEEDING-01) shows the paper's own data defeat its headline — the total-compute metric is negative and non-significant, the latency signal is cold-start artifact by the paper's own reanalysis, the mechanism fails on a third of its test languages, and the energy apparatus rests on unmeasured wattage and output-length settings. Part II (EA-TAILGUARD-01) grants the empirics arguendo and shows the recommended pre-inference language gating is an input-layer tail-pruning instrument aimed at the data class the model-collapse literature identifies as load-bearing. The paper is itself a symptom of the dynamic it does not cite: its threat predicates are model-relative by its own definitions, making the proposed control an operationalization of the model's prior — prior-enforcement at the research layer. A boundary instrument (EA-SEMEX-DISAMBIG-02) records the 146-day prior, DOI-anchored occupancy of the title term in a disjoint, value-inverted sense.
