Abstract

The formulas for calculating the relative critical and ultimate deformations of glued wood have been proposed. Comprehensive deformation diagrams for the examined species of glued wood under axial compression along the fibres were developed. Both experimental and theoretical approaches were used to determine the main subcritical and critical parameters, including temporary ultimate strength, relative critical deformations, as well as ultimate and residual deformations. It has been established that the formula for calculating the relative critical deformation of glued wood closely aligns with the experimental values.
