Abstract

Proposed antibacterial mechanisms of Cu-BTC and Cu-GA. Both MOFs release Cu 2+ ions from their framework, facilitating their attachment and internalization on the surface of both E. coli (Gram-negative) and Lactobacillus (Gram-positive) bacteria.
