Abstract

Regioselective rhodium-induced B(4)–H hydroxylation and halogenation reactions of <italic>o</italic>-carboranes are reported. The key intermediate has been isolated. Iridium-induced B(3)/B(4)–H activation of <italic>o</italic>-carboranes has been achieved through steric control.
