Abstract

Abstract Phosphorus‐centered radical precursors, specifically chlorophosphine reagents, are distinguished by their straightforward synthesis and remarkable stability in air. The photocatalytic transformations of chlorophosphines to yield organophosphorus compounds are typically conducted under mild conditions, a process that remains under‐documented in the current literature. This review meticulously compiles and analyzes the recent advancements in the photocatalytic applications of chlorophosphines, highlighting their potential and versatility in the construction of a wide array of phosphorus‐containing products. By delving into the mechanistic aspects and the scope of these transformations, this review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the state‐of‐the‐art methodologies and their implications for future research and industrial applications in organophosphorus chemistry.
