Abstract
In this paper, second order sliding mode control is proposed for liquid level control in a quadruple tank system. The system has internal cross coupling in its four tank setup, and realizes in a nonlinear model. The proposed twisting algorithm (TA) based controller is complemented with an exact differentiator for estimating the derivatives of the outputs. Simulation results are provided to validate the efficacy of the proposal.
