Abstract

Recently, Wang et al. proposed an ultra super fast authentication protocol for electric vehicle charging (IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2022, DOI: 10.1109/TIA.2022.3184668). The authors claimed that their protocol is secure and can resist known security attacks. However, in this comment paper, we demonstrate that their protocol is still vulnerable to session key leakage. In addition, we found that it has incorrect electric vehicle owner registration phase and mutual authentication and key agreement phase.
