Three-Component Strategy for the Synthesis of Alkyl Nitrile BCP Derivatives

Abstract
-substituted arenes in drug discovery. Herein, we describe a universal and practical protocol for the carbothiolation of [1.1.1]propellane using available AIBN as a cyanoalkyl source via multicomponent reaction. The catalyst- and additive-free conditions, broad functional group tolerance, environmental-friendliness, and simplicity of this procedure make it a valuable strategy for accessing alkyl nitriles BCP derivatives.
