Abstract

[Zr 16 -BPDC-Eu 1− x Tb x ] is the first type of lanthanide metal–organic framework with mechanochromic luminescence characteristics. [Zr 16 -Eu] shows extremely high proton conductivity due to the multi-hydroxyl/ketone functional group.
