Abstract

Electric vehicles will become most used in near future and to achieve that they should become more reliable and autonomous. It is very promising to design an autonomous electric vehicle that charges with wired chargers. Dynamic wireless charging is the solution for the same as it charges the vehicle while in motion. Here I want to present a review of various dynamic power transfer methods for electric vehicles, coils and ferrite shapes used to get better charging and also the health and safety concerns. Current electric vehicles with batteries onboard can run for maximum three hundred kilometers but the dynamic wireless charging is free from this range anxiety and the size of battery can also be reduced for same range. The coil and ferrite shapes that are being used for charging electrical vehicle have also been discussed in this paper.
