Abstract

Zero trust is gaining ground. And fast. According to the 2019 ‘State of Enterprise Secure Access’ survey, 72% of respondents said they would be moving ahead with zero trust projects in the next 18 months. 1 But why? Adopting zero trust involves augmenting security at the user and device, implementing policy controls to govern every transaction and protecting all traffic. There are three primary reasons that enterprises are considering taking a zero trust approach to their security – improved data protection, trust through entity verification and continuous authentication and authorisation.
