Abstract

The theme of the present work is to employ the Cattaneo–Christov model to investigate the flow of a hybrid nanofluid (SWCNT-MWCNT/C3H8O2) across a permeable surface. This work analyzes the heat transport mechanism associated with thermal radiation and Ohmic heating. The SWCNT and MWCNT hybrid nanofluids employed in this research are dissolved in propylene glycol, which serves as the base fluid. The governing model generated for hybrid nanofluid is transformed to ODEs, solved by bvp4c. The ratio of volume fraction of SWCNT and MWCNT are taken to be 2% each. Figures are sketched for various parameters, creating a streamlined pattern for the magnetic field. Results disclose that the velocity trace is decreased due to elevation in the porosity parameter and suction, whereas it is increased with the amplification in the percentage of hybrid nanoparticles. The temperature trace enhances on increasing Forchheimer number and Eckert number, whereas it decreases for suction and Biot number. The thermal field exhibits a dual characteristic with the fluctuation in radiation number.
