Maintenance of the branched-chain amino acid transporter LAT1 counteracts myotube atrophy following chemotherapy

Abstract

This is the first study to attenuate chemotherapy-induced myotube atrophy by manipulating a BCAA transporter. Our findings suggest that positive regulation of amino acid transporters may be a promising strategy to treat cachexia.
