Moving from health workforce crisis to health workforce success: the time to act is now

Abstract

Europe is in the middle of a health workforce crisis. But
\nthis crisis is many crises at once: it is labour crisis, a
\nmental health crisis, an education crisis, a gender
\nequality crisis and a financial investment crisis.
\nFirst, it is a labour crisis because countries are
\nfinding it difficult to retain the existing health and care
\nworkers in the health system and recruit new to
\nadequately respond to the increased demand for health
\nservices over the past few years.
