Abstract
Through the use of 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid (DOBDC) as both an etching and a doping agent, a surface modified ZIF-8 (denoted as ZIF-8-5%) has been synthesized and used in the eCO 2 RR, showing a 2.5 times higher partial current and boosted faradaic efficiency.
