Overview of Key Technologies and Applications of Hydrogen Energy Storage in Integrated Energy Systems

Abstract

With the rapid growth of domestic renewable energy, the problems of insufficient renewable energy capacity and grid connection difficulties have become more prominent. Large-scale energy storage systems have proved to be an effective way to solve this problem. This article reviews the deficiencies and limitations of existing mature energy storage systems, analyzes the advantages and characteristics of hydrogen energy storage (HES), builds a hydrogen storage integrated energy system, and broadens the way to solve renewable energy problems. Subsequently, the key technologies of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen power generation in the hydrogen storage integrated energy system were sorted out, and the key performances of hydrogen production technology, hydrogen power generation technology and hydrogen storage materials were compared and evaluated. Investigate the key demonstration projects at home and abroad to provide a reference for China' s future development of HES.
