Abstract
The PID) control strategy has been very promising control strategy since ages which take an accurate control action to regulate any industrial process by adjusting 3 parameters i.e. Kp, Ki, Kd The present research work is also based on the PID) control. The process that has been considered as a case study is the heat exchanger of the crystallization unit of a SU2ar factory. The control systems are developed for this process using MATLAB in this paper. First of all, the PID) controller is designed for this process using the AMIGO (approximate MIGO) step response method The controller output is further upgraded by optimizing the controller parameters using Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm. SA algorithm is run on the formulated objective function for the settling time. The primary goal here is minimizing the settling time of controller.
