Bioinspired cone structures with helical micro-grooves for fast liquid transport and efficient fog collection

Abstract
Inspired by cactus spines, cones with helical micro-grooves were created and shown to move droplets more efficiently than straight micro-grooved cones. The helix structure increases Laplace pressure, which leads to better fog collection.
