Abstract
The electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction to ammonia (eNO 3 − RR) is a potential way for harmonizing the nitrogen cycle. This feature article summarizes the recent advances in electrocatalyst design for the eNO 3 − RR from a theoretical perspective.
