Abstract

This paper reports world averages of measurements of <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <a:mi>b</a:mi> </a:math> -hadron, <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <c:mi>c</c:mi> </c:math> -hadron, and <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <e:mi>τ</e:mi> </e:math> -lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group using results available before October 2023. In rare cases, significant results obtained several months later are also used. For the averaging, common input parameters used in the various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to common values, and known correlations are taken into account. The averages include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, <g:math xmlns:g="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <g:mi>C</g:mi> <g:mi>P</g:mi> </g:math> violation parameters, parameters of semileptonic decays, and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements.
