Abstract

Energy Harvesting A photo of the experimental small-scale testing of an ocean wave energy converter based on dielectric elastomer generators is presented by Marco Fontana and co-workers (article number 2000125). Four dielectric elastomer membranes (with only one of them active) are inflated/deformed by the wave motion thanks to an optimized hydrodynamic collector. Tests were conducted as part of a collaboration of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, University of Bologna, Reggio Calabria and Trento.
