Trajectory prediction based on AIS and BP neural network

Abstract
According to the characteristics of ship navigation and the demand of ship trajectory prediction, this paper proposes a prediction method combining AIS information and BP neural network. Based on the characteristics of AIS ship information, the BP network structure is constructed to predict the future trajectory with the input of historical trajectory and current information. The results show that the BP neural network is feasible for trajectory prediction.
