Exploring ultra-high optical anisotropy in polyiodides

Abstract
This work describes the synthesis of three novel organic–inorganic hybrid polyiodide compounds, C 4 H 6 N 3 I 2 , (C 5 H 7 N 2 )I·I 3 , and (C 5 H 6 NO) 2 I 4 , which exhibit significant birefringence.
