Abstract

DFT calculations indicate that the Lewis acidity of the catalytic metal center <bold>M</bold> (Ti, Zr, Hf) explains the redox-switchable activity observed for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone by ferrocene derived metal complexes.
