Abstract
Direct coupling of inert C–H bonds by NHCs offers efficient routes for the synthesis of functional molecules. Consequently, this highlight presents the latest advancements in NHC-catalyzed latent C–H functionalization involving the ET/PT pathways and HAT pathway.
