Non-Hermitian squeezed polarons
Fang Qin, R. Shen, Ching Hua Lee
Abstract
Polarons are dressed states caused by interacting impurities. In this work, the authors discovered that non-Hermiticity can fundamentally ``squeeze'' the polaron into an asymmetric spatial profile. Yet, despite their locality, such squeezed polarons drastically modify the energy spectrum of the entire system.
