Abstract

The article presents practical, innovative, and inspiring perspectives on the major requirements for millimeter-Wave (mm-Wave) antennas in cellular phones, the main challenges to the mm-Wave antennas in cellular phones, the corresponding solutions to the challenges, the factors to trigger the solution evolution, the underlying philosophy of the strategical driving force for the solution generation, and the underlying philosophy of the tactical driving force for the design variants to better contribute to the retrospect on the reported developments and the prospect on the promising advances of mm-Wave antennas in the cellular phones.
