Abstract
Abstract An axisymmetric initial and boundary value problem regarding the impact of a liquid drop on a solid surface at constant speed is considered, for different contact angles. Mathematically, Navier–Stokes equations are used to describe the motion of each phase (liquid, air). A method of numerical solution is described, and sample calculations are presented.
