Separability, Locality, and Higher Dimensions in Quantum Mechanics

Abstract
When debating the correct metaphysical interpretation of quantum theories, it is frequently discussed whether it may be possible to avoid the apparent causal nonlocality demonstrated in experimental violations of Bell’s inequality. Some argue that one may avoid nonlocality by appealing to a metaphysical framework that is nonseparable. This chapter explores the possibility of avoiding nonlocality by instead moving to a higher dimensional framework, one in which both fundamental separability and fundamental locality may be preserved.
