Abstract

High-index faceted Pt–RE (RE = La, Y, and Sc) alloys exhibit an excellent electrocatalytic performance for nitrogen reduction to ammonia due to the high density of low-coordinated Pt step sites and the unique electronic effect of Pt–RE.
