Abstract

Etched p-GaAs electrodes retained stoichiometric surfaces and photoactivity after long-term operation of the hydrogen-evolution reaction (HER) at pH = 0/14, while p-GaAs with Pt catalyst formed As 0 -rich surfaces and lost photoactivity.
