Abstract
The precision and reliability of inertial navigation system can be greatly enhanced by raising the number of inertial sensors. This article first introduces the redundant inertial navigation system, then gives the research development of several key techniques of the redundant inertial navigation system: the system configuration scheme, the initial alignment technology, error calibration technology, fault detection and isolation technique, data fusion technology, and so on. Finally, the future research hotspots of redundant inertial navigation technology are discussed.
