Abstract
The present review is a comprehensive study that summarizes the most advanced technologies improvements in electrochemical performance of Ni-MOF derived material (metal oxide/hydroxide, metal sulfide etc.) as well as their use in high energy supercapacitors as electrode materials.Extensive research conducted over the last several years has revealed that Ni-MOFs are an excellent choice for use as a precursor for a diverse range of active materials that have potential for use in various energy holding domains.Using the appropriate synthetic method, Ni based metal-organic framework can be turned into porous carbons adorned with effective ionic species and co-doped elementsbecause Ni-MOFs accommodate both metal atom and carbon that are well scattered throughout the structure. However, there are many reviews on MOF-derived material but there is no specific review on Ni-MOF derived material till now. This brief overview, mainly outline the electrochemical performance and controllable fabrication procedures of Ni-MOF derived material according to recently reported literature. This study highlights the issues that are currently being faced, in addition to presenting a few potential solutions that could lead to significant advancements in the diplomatic feature of Ni-MOFs derived materials for application in ultra-high-performance supercapacitors in the coming years.
