Abstract

In this work, Bödewadt flow over a stretchable rotating disc is executed by considering three types of hybrid nanoliquids. In addition, heat transport nature is analysed by incorporating the effect of viscous dissipation. Furthermore, Kármán’s variables are adopted to get nonlinear form of ordinary differential expressions which were numerically treated by using the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg scheme. Good agreements are found on comparison of the present results with those in the literature. Moreover, comparable notes of the investigated hybrid nanoliquids are provided for all directions of the velocity profiles, temperature distribution, drag coefficient and Nusselt number. Finally, it is observed that for higher nanoparticle volume fraction, the radial and tangential shear stresses accelerate, but heat transfer coefficient decelerates. Furthermore, it is noted that enhancement of stretching parameter reduces the velocity and temperature curves and the gold nanoparticles have lower rate than copper and silver.
