Abstract

. The Indigenous population includes both Australian Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders, who represent about 3.3% of the population (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2018a). These features, as well as Australia's position as a major modern tourist destination, all play a role in the current global pandemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the disease caused by the novel pathogen severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.
