Abstract

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and (CH3COO)2Zn were used as raw materials, and carbon nanofibers (CNFs) with high specific surface area were successfully prepared by an electrospinning method. A new method of electrochemiluminescence detection of azithromycin was established by modifying the glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Under the optimal conditions, the electrochemical behavior and electrochemiluminescence behavior of the Ru(bpy)32+-AZM system on the modified electrode were investigated. Owing to the large specific area, more active sites, and promotion of electron transfer, the sensor exhibits high electrocatalytic activity, high sensitivity, a good linear relationship ranging from <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M1"> <a:mn>8.0</a:mn> <a:mo>×</a:mo> <a:msup> <a:mrow> <a:mn>10</a:mn> </a:mrow> <a:mrow> <a:mo>−</a:mo> <a:mn>8</a:mn> </a:mrow> </a:msup> </a:math> to <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M2"> <c:mn>1.0</c:mn> <c:mo>×</c:mo> <c:msup> <c:mrow> <c:mn>10</c:mn> </c:mrow> <c:mrow> <c:mo>−</c:mo> <c:mn>4</c:mn> </c:mrow> </c:msup> </c:math> mol/L, and a low detection limit ( <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M3"> <e:mn>6.52</e:mn> <e:mo>×</e:mo> <e:msup> <e:mrow> <e:mn>10</e:mn> </e:mrow> <e:mrow> <e:mo>−</e:mo> <e:mn>8</e:mn> </e:mrow> </e:msup> </e:math> mol/L). In addition, the good recoveries indicate that the sensor was a promising device for the detection of azithromycin in real samples.
